It's the Thought That Counts... Again? by ThatOneNPC It's the Thought That Counts... Again? by ThatOneNPC
And this is why we shouldn't let Emile buy gifts.

From episode five of LittleBigPlanet, the video opens up with the Runaway Guys and girl receiving gifts from our favorite polo-clad Let's Player, resulting in some mixed reviews on their presents: Tim got a plush Yoshi as he does with every TRG meet up in a fabulous pink, Lucah got My Balls, well, a Barbie horse at the very least, and Jon, of course, get a very special T-shirt.

As you may be able to tell, disaster has struck. My beloved Bamboo Create tablet has mysteriously ceased to work whatsoever! :nuu: So, since I'll probably be without one for the next few weeks, it leaves me no other option but to go back to the basics with a pen and paper, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It feels pretty good to work with a pencil again, but I forgot how painstakingly slow the process is! :saddummy: Welp. What can you do?

Question of the Week: Since I can't think of an interesting one pertaining to the picture, I'll give you a more personal one instead. How did you get into watching Let's Plays and who was the first LPer you watched and why?

Happy Sunday, everybody!

Even though Super Skarmory is actually the first LPer that I have watched, it was actually Chuggaa who made me watch non stop. The first LP I have watched from him is his Paper Mario: TTYD LP and I have been following him since, until I came across the RunawayGuys.

First LPer I watched was Chuggaaconroy, he made me check out video games like Pokémon, Legend of Zelda, and the Mother series. Thank you Chuggaa, you made this girl who she is now!

(Eh I'm late by probably a few years so I hope nobody minds)

Well to be honest I used to hate commentary in a video game. I just found it stupid. After playing a good marathon worth of super smash brothers brawl and I was very interested in the character of Ness and Lucas. So I searched up on YouTube for a walk through of Earthbound. The first result that came up was Chuggaaconroy's first
let's play of Earthbound. I tried to ignore it and look up some other videos. After a giving up I eventually watched the first episode. Surprisingly, he was pretty funny and I seriously haven't laughed so hard in years. I actually called my sister to come and watch this let's play. It became a daily routine for the two of us to grab some popcorn and other junk food as we watch Chuggaaconroy's let's plays (all the way up to Okami, then we started watching his other videos separately now). I guess after that, I did enjoy let's plays after all.

Yup, this is late, but well, is the thought that counts, right?
My older sister was laughing so hard at something on the computer, and I wanted to see, so I went over and asked what was so funny. She then proceeded to show me chuggaaconroy, and then, I got obsessed. Thanks, Maya! I already clearly stated that Emile was my first Let's Player.

I know I'm a bit late with this comment, but I'm going to answer the question anyways.

So here's how I got into LPers and video game related channels on Youtube in general. One day I was just browsing around and came across PeanutButterGamer. Watched some of his videos and decided to subscribe. It was around the time he posted his MySims Agents video, so I would say this was a little over a year ago. So then I found out about JonTron and ContinueShow. Time had passed and I found out about Pewdiepie. I started watching his Happy Wheels videos and a little after that my friend got me to watch more of his videos. I subscribed a little bit before he started his Bully Let's Play, so I would say that was about October or November of 2012. Through Pewdie I found out about Cry and TobyGames. Some time after that JonTron announced the GameGrumps channel and stuff, but it would be a little while after that 'til I actually watched their stuff though. So then not too long ago, I came across a video with all of Chuggaaconroy's legendary pokemon freakouts. So I checked out what he had played and saw that he had played Pokemon Colosseum. I decided to watch that playthrough first because I remembered that I liked the game when I was younger, so I was interested, and also surprised that someone had actually done a let's play of it. So through his channel, I found out about TheRunawayGuys. After watching them play Mario Party, I went to check out ProtonJon and NintendoCapriSun's channels. So I watched Jon play Don't Eat the Mushroom, a couple episodes of Superman 64, and some Mario ROM hacks, along with both of the Mario Early Years videos. And I am currently watching NCS play Conker's Bad Fur Day ( ya know, IN THE BATHROOM ). So yeah, this comment was probably much longer than it needed to be, but here's the whole backstory and everything. Sorry about this being such a long, drawn out comment though...

I needed help with something in Okami, I googled, I watched Chuggaa's race with Kai. I did my game. Then I got curious cuz he had so much energy so I went back and watched the whole thing. I still watch (and re-watch) his LPs because his energy makes it so fun. I really only watch Chuggaa and TRG still...
